Does Your Shower Base Meet Your Hygiene Standards?

Shower base

Personal hygiene is one of the most important aspects of modern life and to keep clean, one has to have a sanitary and safe area to do so. Keeping yourself clean prevents disease, discomfort and is no doubt something individuals that you choose to surround yourself with will thank you for. Some people opt to take baths but more and more frequently people are choosing high efficiency shower that use less water and energy than the traditional bath.

When searching for shower bases, don’t just look for any old piece of plastic to stand on. A good shower base should also provide a surface that prevents slipping to prevent accidents that could land you in the hospital. It should also provide efficient drainage to prevent the buildup of whatever washed off. Doing so prevents more water being used due to a constant need to clean.

In fact, showers are generally much more energy efficient and use less water than baths. A good shower head should still provide a thorough clean without using much water. The less water that is used, the less energy is used to move that water, which saves money. Many commercial toilets and urinals are following the same suit by providing sanitary areas that use less water but still remove waste just as quickly and cleanly.

Many stores provide a wide variety of shower bases to choose from that not only keep things clean and safe, as previously mentioned, but that match the shower as well. For some, aesthetics are very important even in the bathroom and a simple white base will not do, so many come in a style to match the flow of the room. Some even offer an area in which to sit down. While sitting down in a shower may seem like an odd choice, those who are disabled or otherwise unable to stand by their own power or reach various areas of the body for cleaning would find this feature very useful.

  1. i really want one of those ultra-futuristic showers that you see in sci-fi movies. like the ones that have water spraying from all sides and theres an alarm or something, lol

  2. You’re basically talking about like a sanitary room for entering a lab or something. Usually those don’t lase very long and you’re still clothed so its not really a shower replacement
