Now is a great time to find a farm for sale and start your career in agricultural production.
For the first time since 2007, the agro industry is outperforming the stocks, which means farming, although many believe is at an ebb, is on the rise.
“We are already seeing big spikes in the agricultural commodities,” said Joie Gunzberg, global head of commodities at SandP Dow Jones Indices, “History supports more upside for commodities and specifically corn and soybean.”
Gunzberg told Agriculture.com that there are various reasons the agro industry is doing so well and seems to be on the rise, and one of the main reasons is that investors are nervous about stocks so they are investing in an industry that has been around for generations: farming.
You can find a wonderful farm for sale pretty much anywhere in the country, as agricultural production takes place in all 50 U.S. states. Even during the struggling years for famers, they still enjoy their career path and most of them couldn’t even think about entering into another field.
There is a certain honor and tradition that comes with being a farmer. That’s probably due to the fact that pretty much all of our ancestors did work in some variation of a farm. Now, a lot of honor and respect is lost in many industries, but farmers know there is more to work than just work.
If you chose to buy a farm, and you start a family there, your kids will have opportunities that others will not. They might lose out on a few trivial and lazy activities that other kids do in their youth, but living on a farm will teach kids valuable lessons that some don’t learn until their late twenties or thirties, or sometimes never!
Your kids will learn how to work and how to respect the work they are doing. They will learn the value of a dollar once they’re a little older. And farmers, for the most part, know how to be respectful and polite towards people — attributes that will greatly benefit your children later on in life.
The main thing they will learn, however, is how to farm. You might think you’ll be able to run a farm for hundreds of years, but at some point you’re going to have to take a back seat. Your kids will be trained on how to take over the family farm and you will know it’s in good hands.
The agro industry is clearly on the rise and it’s time for you to join in. You can find beautiful agro land for sale all over the country: a luxury farm for sale, cattle ranches for sale, equestrian property for sale, and many more types of agro property.
Enjoy your new land and have fun in your new career!
