Wedding sites are a location where many historical and cultural wedding traditions occur. Traditions such as the practice of showering newly married couples with rice holds similar traditions across the globe. Nearly all cultures have showered the wedding couple with a symbolic food. For example, the French throw wheat, Sicilians throw bread and salt, and the British toss pieces of cake. The early Romans or Greeks even threw nuts and dates. Other cultural wedding traditions have a long history, such as the expression “to tie the knot,” which originates to the ancient Babylonian tradition, in which threads from clothes of the bride and groom are tied together to symbolize the union of the couple. Another common wedding tradition, such as wearing your wedding ring on the third finger of the left hand dates back to the Ancient Egyptians believing the vein in that hand ran directly to the heart.

But wedding showers are not the only cultural traditions for newly weds. Baby shower places also pay ceremonial tribute for soon-to-be parents or a single soon-to-be mother. Traditionally, baby showers were events only for women and were typically held in the home of the family. These baby showers were intended to provide the mother-to-be with not only necessary items, but also advice about baby care. However, currently many baby showers feature both men and women, as they celebrate and prepare the soon-to-be parents. It is also becoming popular for baby showers, like wedding receptions, to be held in baby shower places like a banquet or party hall for rent.

Baby shower locations can take place in either your home, or the home of a family member or friend, to a high end banquet hall or even cheap banquet halls to save money. Cheap banquet halls are a good place to host a baby shower, especially if your home does not have the space to accommodate a large group. It can also be fun to decorate these banquet halls to your liking or for a specific theme. Having a your baby shower in a location other than a home is a smart and affordable way to accommodate a large group of attendees, without having to worry about the hassle of cleaning up after the celebration. 1. When we had my first baby shower, our home at the time was a bit small to host the 20 something guests. We decided to have the shower at my sisters home that was larger. It worked well for us, but this seems like a good solution, too!
